Amidst the lush greenery of Khao Sok, if you look closely, you might spot a tiny burst of yellow flitting between the branches. This is the Asian Golden Weaver (Ploceus hypoxanthus), a remarkable little bird known for its incredible nest-building skills.

Did you know?The Asian Golden Weaver is one of the few bird species that weaves its nest using long grass blades and plant fibers. The nest, shaped like a teardrop, is often suspended over water to protect against predators — a true feat of natural engineering!
