Prakay Petch Cave, commonly known as Diamond Cave,
is one of the more accessible cave stops on Cheow Lan Lake.
The visit is relatively short and does not require the forest crossing or bamboo raft journey used to reach Coral Cave. This makes it easy to combine with a scenic boat journey, a floating resort stay or other stops around the lake.

From the Lake into the Cave
Diamond Cave is approached by longtail boat, followed by a short walk from the lake into the surrounding limestone landscape.
Unlike Coral Cave, there is no long forest crossing or bamboo raft involved. The transition from boat to cave is relatively straightforward, making this a practical stop for travellers who want to experience one of Cheow Lan Lake’s caves without adding a longer trek to the day.

Where the Name “Diamond Cave” Comes From
Inside the cave are stalactites, stalagmites and mineral-covered limestone surfaces formed over long periods of time.
When illuminated, some of these surfaces reflect the light with a sparkling appearance. This characteristic is behind the Thai name Prakay Petch, which can be understood as “diamond sparkle,” and the English name Diamond Cave.
