On Cheow Lan Lake, mist moves between the peaks, sometimes hiding entire mountains before revealing them again.

KHAO SOK COMES ALIVE IN THE RAIN
The rainy season brings out a side of Khao Sok that cannot be scheduled or recreated.
The forest becomes greener, rivers rise, clouds move lower, and Cheow Lan Lake takes on an entirely different atmosphere.

DAY 1
INTO THE RAINFOREST
Where the rain begins.
Arrive in Khao Sok and head into the rainforest with your private guide. The route follows the conditions of the day, before slowing down on the Sok River beneath rainforest and limestone mountains.

DAY 2 · CHEOW LAN LAKE
FOLLOW THE RAIN TO THE LAKE
From rainforest to Cheow Lan.
Travel to Cheow Lan Lake and continue by private longtail boat towards Klong Ka. Along the way, low cloud, rain and changing visibility determine where we slow down, stop and explore.

THE CLOUD PASSAGE
When the mountains begin to disappear.
There is no fixed viewpoint. We follow the conditions as cloud moves through the limestone mountains and across the lake.
DAY 3
BEFORE THE CLOUDS LIFT
The lake before the day begins.
Leave Klong Ka early by private boat, while the lake is still quiet and cloud often lingers around the mountains. Explore the forest edges for wildlife, then return for breakfast before beginning the final journey across Cheow Lan Lake.
