A hollow tree, a rocky forest stream and a wooden boat bow each provide a different backdrop in this Phupha Waree album. Together, the photographs show both the close detail of the forest and the open space of the lake.
The visit included a stay at Phupha Waree on Cheow Lan Lake. In the photographs, two travellers stand among tall roots and follow a rocky stream through the trees. The scene then opens onto the lake, where they sit at the boat bow with limestone formations behind them. A covered-boat photograph adds a quieter portrait beneath the canopy.
