Private Island Camping in Thailand: Our First Guests at Cheow Lan Lake

An island shoreline, a small camp beside the water and a tent lit after dusk mark the start of a new chapter for our lake trips. This album and its original video introduce the first guests to that camping experience.
In June 2026, we welcomed our first guests for the Private Island Experience at Cheow Lan Lake. They spent one night on a secluded island surrounded by rainforest, limestone cliffs and lake views, away from floating resorts and the day-tour crowds. The original video and photographs show the guests travelling by boat, arriving with their bags, sharing a meal and settling into the waterside camp as evening light falls.
The photographs retain the small details of this first stay: tree roots along the shore, food on a wooden table and the warmly lit tent facing the lake. The original video remains with the album as part of the record of these first guests.
