A Scenic 6 km Jungle Trail

The adventure begins with a 6-kilometer round-trip trek through pristine evergreen rainforest.The trail offers a perfect balance of challenge and enjoyment:

  • Soft forest floor covered with ancient leaf litter

  • Tall trees forming a natural green canopy

  • Moss, ferns, and wild mushrooms thriving along the path

  • Gentle streams flowing beside the trail

  • Mixed slopes and flat sections, suitable for most travelers with normal fitness

(We do not recommend this trail for seniors above 60.)

After trekking through the dense forest, she finally reached the highlight of the journey:

A huge, fully-blooming Rafflesia — its thick reddish-brown petals opening wide, revealing its iconic white speckles and the deep chamber of spiky structures inside.The flower was truly massive, perfectly formed, and at the peak of its short blooming period (only 5–7 days).

Seeing it up close is a rare privilege — a once-in-a-lifetime moment for any nature lover.


More Exciting News — New Buds Are Appearing!


The forest surprised us even more.Around the same area, we discovered:

  • Several large Rafflesia buds

  • A few flowers beginning to open

  • And many more buds expected to bloom in the coming week

This means December is shaping up to be an excellent season for spotting Rafflesia in Khao Sok!
